Hyperbilirubinemia is a clinical phenomenon due to the high production and low excretion of bilirubin, which causes the yellow color on the sclera and skin. The major purpose of this research was to investigate and conduct a midwifery care management on a newborn with the case of hyperbilirubinemia at the general hospotal of Syech Yusuf Gowa in 2022. The 7-stage of Varney management approach was emplyed in this study. The findings of this study indicated that in the caring management given to the baby “R” with the case of pathological hyperbilirubinemia, there were no obstacles and problems found by the health workers.
